Lainey Wilson wins 5 Country Music Awards

Lainey Wilson walked away with an impressive five trophies, including the highly coveted Entertainer of the Year award on Wednesday night
at the Country Music
Association Awards.
In a night filled with star-studded performances and heartfelt speeches, Louisiana singer Lainey Wilson emerged as the shining star at the Country Music Association
Awards held at Bridgestone Arena.
Wilson’s triumphs also included recognition as Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for
her acclaimed record, ‘Bell Bottom Country’. Her electrifying rendition
of ‘Wildflowers and Wild Horses’ transported the audience to a classic Hollywood Western, showcasing her dynamic talent. Overwhelmed with emotion, Wilson tearfully expressed her gratitude, stating, “This is all I’ve ever wanted to do, it’s the only thing
I know how to do. It finally feels like country music is starting to love me back.” Having entered the night
as the leading nominee with nine nods, Wilson and HARDY had already secured the Musical Event
of the Year award for their
collaboration, ‘Wait in the Truck’.
Rapper-turned-singer Jelly Roll also left a lasting impression, opening the show with a powerful performance of his hit ‘Need a Favor’ alongside
surprise guest Wynonna Judd. He later closed the night with a poignant duet with K Michelle on Judd’s iconic track, ‘Love Can Build A Bridge’.
