Home Ministry’s Public Security Division’s joint secretary and former Deputy Commissioner of Barguna Md Habibur Rahman has been made officer on special duty (OSD) by the government, after his video clip with a woman went viral on social media recently.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a circular in this regard on Sunday (October 22).
The order will come into effect immediately in public interest, reads the notification.
Officer on special duty or OSD is a post that rarely offers opportunity for work, usually utilised in the public sector to accommodate staff who are felt to be past their best, or surplus to requirements, but not yet at retirement age.
