‘Good Luck Bangladesh’ songs revived to boost the spirit of Bangladesh cricket team

Bangladesh has been participating in the Cricket World Cup tournament since 1999.

Back then, a special song dedicated to the Bangladesh cricket team titled ‘Good Luck Bangladesh’ had gained immense popularity to the point that people even railed on the streets singing this song.

Now, on the occasion of the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup, a new version of the song was aired on Tuesday, said a press release.

The songs ‘Good Luck Bangladesh’ was written by the famous actor Asaduzzaman Noor and first aired in celebration of the Bangladesh cricket team’s victory over Pakistan in the Cricket World Cup in 1999.

The original song was voiced by Shuvro Dev, Syed Abdul Hadi, Subir Nandi and Shakila Zafar.

While talking about the new rendition of the song ‘Good Luck Bangladesh’, Shuvro Dev told the media, “Back in 1999, when Bangladesh defeated Pakistan in Cricket World Cup, people took to the streets to celebrate and sung this song to their heart’s content.

Now after over 23 years, I recorded the new version of the song ‘Good Luck Bangladesh’ two days ago at the studio of Channel i.

Every one of us wants Bangladesh to win the Cricket World Cup this time. As an artiste, I have already shared my prayer for the team through this song.”

Singer Konal shared her feelings by this way, “The song ‘Good Luck Bangladesh’ was released for the first time when Bangladesh was not participating in the World Cup.

The song was quite popular then. The song was re-recorded two days ago. We all want Bangladesh to win the World Cup. I said what I wanted as an artiste.”

The new version of song ‘Good Luck Bangladesh’ was jointly voiced by Shuvro Dev, Konal, Ananya and Tariq Mridha.

The overall direction and supervision of the music video was done by Anonna Ruma.

The song was aired on October 10 on Channel i during the second match held between Bangladesh and England in India.
