Bangladesh made an auspicious start in the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 after defeating Afghanistan by six wickets in their first match at the same venue on October 7.
On the other hand, defending champions England had a sorrow start as they lost to New Zealand by nine wickets in their opening match of the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5.

Of them, Bangladesh registered two victories, while England won in two occasions.
Spin Bowling Coach of Bangladesh Rangana Herath said, “I think there is no limitations for our fielders.
I think the fielders of our team will give cent percent in the outfield, when they will do fielding in the outfield of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium.
I think our fielders presented a better brand of fielding in their first match in this ground.
I hope my boys will give their best in the tomorrow’s match.”
Herath said, ” ICC tried their level best to make a good outfield.
As the groundsmen make an appropriate outfield and keep standard, the ICC gives permission to arrange matches in this venue. So, I am glad with the venue.”
Captain of England Jos Buttler said, ” We are anxious about the outfield.
I think the outfield is not up to the mark.
We shall try to save runs after diving in the outfield.
But this outfield is not an ideal outfield to dive to save runs.”
Buttler said, ” I shall not give any excuse.
We have to adapt with the ground.
We shall give our best, while we do fielding in the match.
I think the players of both teams will try their best to save runs after diving in the field.
So, players of both teams have equal chance.
I hope none will get injury.”
