The 22nd BABISAS award ceremony organised by the Bangladesh Entertainment Journalists Association held at the KIB Auditorium in the city on Saturday. Amidst the glitz and glamour, Shihab Nurun Nabi was felicitated as the best art director.
Babisas president Abul Hossain Majumder played the pivotal role of the ceremony’s chair. State Minister of the Disaster Management and Relief Ministry, Dr. Md. Enamur Rahman, MP was present as chief guest at the ceremony. It was Dr. Rahman who had the honour of presenting the best art Director award to the deserving Shihab Nurun Nabi, according to a press release.
Upon receiving this esteemed award, the National Award-winning art director remarked, “Being honored by Babisas signifies a momentous achievement. Such recognition not only fuels my passion but also propels me towards producing even more exceptional work in the future.”
Shihab Nurun Nabi’s illustrious career in film, theatre, and advertising spans over a decade. He has showcased his unparalleled talent as the art director for notable projects like Rezwan Shahriar Sumit’s “Nona Joler Kabbo,” Amitabh Reza’s “Rickshaw Girl,” and the “Sonibarer Bikel (Saturday Afternoon)” movie in collaboration with Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. The film “Nona Joler Kabbo” brought him further acclaim when he was honored with the National Film Award for his role as an art director. With an impressive portfolio that includes over five hundred TV commercials, Shihab’s work in the critically acclaimed web series “Mahanagar” and season-02 of “Coke Studio Bangla” further cements his reputation in the industry.
