Ela Khan judges at Nat’l Cultural Competition 2023

Noted dance artiste and choreographer Ela Khan acted as a judge in the ‘National Cultural Competition 2023’ organised by the Bangabandhu Shishu Kishore Mela.

Last Friday, Ela Khan completed her judgment by watching the dance of hundreds of dancers from different parts of the country at Tejgaon College in the capital.

After 14 long years, Ela Khan is very happy to return to her favourite work.

While talking in this regard, she told this correspondent, “There was a time when I was engaged with dance day and night.

I could not get it in any direction that time went by. My life was devoted to dancing.

I do everything for those who love dance.

But at one point, I became so busy with family life that I had to move away from the dance.

That’s why I didn’t want to go to any event. But finally my journey started again in the world of dance as a judge.

I completed the judgment by watching the dancing of the little children. There are many talented dancers in the country.

They will surely do well in the future and many prayers for those who did not win.”

Ela Khan said that the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over the prizes to the winners at Tungipara in Gopalganj on September 30.

It is mentioned that Ela spent times with her two children – Tapur Tupur and Arosh.

They have grown up now. So, Ela Khan has returned to work. She is interested in working regularly.

There is no such organisation in the country in which Ela Khan did not participate as a dancer or choreographer.

She also worked as a choreographer in the movies of FI Manik and Mostafizur Rahman Manik.

Ela Khan first acted in the television dramas as a child artiste.

After that, she acted in many TV dramas. She also acted in the telefilm titled ‘Vela’, directed by Tarikul Islam. By acting in this
telefilm, she got quite a response from the audience.

According to Ela Khan, Farhana Chowdhury Baby became a star dancer in Bangladesh only by dancing because all those who are dancers have modelled or acted in commercials as
well as dancing.
