Afzal Hossain in CCU now

Renowned actor Afzal Hossain has recently been hospitalised due to a lung infection and mild
cardiac attack.

The actor is currently under observation in the CCU department at a private hospital.

He was admitted to Square Hospitals in the capital after he fell ill on Monday night.

He is now undergoing treatment at CCU of the hospital.

Director Shihab Shaheen confirmed this on Tuesday noon.

Masum Bashar, a close friend of Afzal Hossain, informed that Afzal Hossain suffered a heart attack after being admitted to the hospital with pneumonia.

Later, he was immediately shifted to the CCU.

While contacted with Afzal Hossain’s wife, Tajin Halim Mona, she told this correspondent, “We took him (Afzal) to the hospital on Monday night after his health started to deteriorate.

The doctors immediately admitted him to CCU for mild chest pain.

They are doing tests right now and his condition has improved a little bit. Please pray for his quick recovery.”

Afzal Hossain started his acting career in theatrical productions in the mid 70s.

He has recently completed shooting for a few movies including ‘Japito Jibon’ and ‘Aporajeyo’.

His extraordinary performances in different platforms have earned him love and praise from the audience.

The actor has also been featured in several OTT productions.

He was awarded the Ekushey Padak in 2022.
