Swastika Mukherjee in Dhaka’s movie

Kolkata’s actress Swastika Mukherjee joined Dhaka cinema again. Before this, she acted in a movie in Dhaka titled ‘Sobar Upore Tumi,’
directed by FI Manik, opposite Shakib Khan.

This time Swastika has signed this time in a movie titled ‘Altabanu Jostna Dekheni’.

Himu Akram will make the movie.

This is Himu Akram’s first movie as a director.

While talking in this regard, Himu Akram told this correspondent, “I talked to Swastika about the movie while I was in the USA. After hearing the story, she expressed interest in acting in it. Three months ago, I and the producer of the movie went to Kolkata and signed a contract with her.
Swastika will act as Altabanu in the movie. But who will act opposite her yet not confirmed.”
A few days ago, Swastika said that she is
working opposite Chanchal Chowdhury
in a Bangladeshi cinema.
While talking in this matter, director Himu Akram said, “When the initial discussion took
place Swastika wanted to know who the hero could be. At that time he was informed, talking
with some people. But Chanchal Chowdhury can also be. So, she spoke about Chanchal Chowdhury in the media. However, we have not yet signed
an agreement with Chanchal Chowdhury.”
Why Swastika in the first movie? When asked, Himu Akram said, “Altabanu’s character has many layers. A strong actor is needed here as a producer and storyteller. The story requires some bold scenes, which our artistes may dare to do. For this reason, we have finalised Swastika by considering all these aspects. After 16 years of making TV dramas, now
I am going to make movie. So, I think Swastika
as Altabanu is perfect for presenting the
story correctly and completely.”
Himu Akram will make his first movie based on his own story. The screenplay is jointly written by Himu Akram, Mohammad Nazim ud Dawla and Mohammad Nazimuddin. The hero will be finalised only when the script is finalised. After that, the official announcement will be made in the presence of the hero and heroine. The producer of the movie is Bengal Multimedia, said the director.
The movie will be shot in Sundarbans, Astagram Haor, Old Dhaka and Rajendrapur next November. The director wants to release the movie during Eid next year.
