UNB, Chattogram :
Three members of Government Railway Police (GRP) were killed and another man was injured as a train rammed a police pickup van on a level crossing in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram on Sunday noon.
The identities of the deceased could not be known yet. However the injured was identified as Shahadat Hossain, a member of Salimpur union parishad.
Majharul Karim, officer-in-charge of Chattogram Railway Police Station, said the accident occurred around 12:30pm on Fakirpara level crossing under the Salimpur union, leaving two cops dead on the spot.
Another GRP member succumbed to his injuries on his way to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, the OC said.
