Lita Khan and Snigdha’s fascination around Ferdousi Majumdar

Ferdousi Majumdar is the pride of Bangladesh theatre. She still performs regularly on stage. Just to enjoy her
performance on the stage, the shows organised by the ‘Theatre’ are
crowded with spectators.
Recently at the Shilpakala Academy
of the capital, on the occasion of birth anniversary of renowned actor, dramatist, film and drama director Abdullah Al Mamun’s popular play titled ‘Meraj Fakirer Maa’ was staged. At the end
of the show, Lita Khan and Snigdha Srabon, two members of ‘Theatre’, hugged the famous actress Ferdousi Majumdar and expressed their love.
While sharing her feelings in this regard, actress Snigdha Srabon told
this correspondent, “I was previously involved with another theatre group. But for the past few years I am associated with the ‘Theatre’. All the seniors in this group love me. Especially Ferdousi Majumdar Ma’am loves me a lot. Still
on stage, she is so perfect, so lively – can’t imagine. She blessed us a lot at the end of the show of ‘Meraj Fakirer Maa’ that day. It is needless to say what
happiness is actually in the midst of hugging her. Sometimes when I think that an artiste as big as her, a person with a big heart – called me by name, then it seems that it is worth it. I pray that Allah keeps her healthy and well.”
Actress Lita Khan told this correspondent, “I am getting more than what
I wanted in life, Alhamdulillah. The run started with a small organisation, ‘Shuvakash Ishara’ in Madaripur, then
to Madaripur Udichi. I give thanks to Ethik Natyadal. I give also thanks
and gratitude to my beloved team ‘Theatre’. Also thanks to Udichi Madaripur District Unit. I am grateful
to Ziaul Haque Jewel, because of him I am able to come and work in my dream group, ‘Theatre’ from Madaripur.”
In the meantime, two dramas titled ‘Noakhailya Bouer Tin Probashi Jamai’ and ‘Probashir Protarok Bou’ directed by Swadhin Shah starring Lita Khan has been released on YouTube.
The drama serial ‘Joba’ starring Lita on Deepto TV is also being aired
regularly on the channel.
