Urmila Srabonti Kar equals in acting and politics

Urmila Srabonti Kar is an actress and a politician. Last Sunday, in a statement signed by Bangladesh Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader,
the name of Urmila Srabonti Kar was announced
as the Cultural Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Women’s Awami League. Urmila is involved in
politics since her student life. She never stopped
from politics in that continuity. She is working
as a dedicated soul of the team.
Urmila Srabonti Kar is a person who is dedicated
to serving the people like the actress; her loved ones want to see her on a bigger scale in the future.
Because she has that personality, that quality,
and the mindset to work for people.
Urmila is a popular actress. She regularly acted in dramas, as well as in movies. Last few days she was out of the country on an urgent work. She is scheduled to return home this morning because today is her birthday. According to the actress, she is returning
to the country today to spend time with her family members and well-wishers including her mother on her birthday. While talking about her birthday and
getting a new post, Urmila told this correspondent, “I wish this blessing from everyone so that I can
properly fulfil the responsibility assigned to me.
I express my sincere gratitude to the party for
being nominated as the Cultural Affairs Secretary
of Bangladesh Women’s Awami League. And for the past few days, I was out of the country on an urgent work. Today is my birthday. I will celebrate my
birthday with everyone on my way back home today. That is, I will be in the country on my birthday, spending time with my mother. Everyone pray for me that I may be healthy, be well, and fulfil my dreams.”
Urmila’s father retired Brigadier General Ananta Kar died on 22 October 2016. Urmila was a Lux superstar of 2009. She was the Women’s Affairs Secretary of Chittagong University Students’ League and the Joint Secretary General of Awami Law Students’ Council
of the same university. She was also successful there.
A few days ago, Urmila acted in the drama ‘Niyoti’ directed by Md Rabiul Shikder. She is also acting in RTV’s ongoing drama serial titled ‘Cheater & Gentleman’, directed by Sanjit Sarkar. In last Eid,
she acted in the drama titled ‘Eker Jamai’
directed by SM Hamid Sohel opposite Mir Sabbir.
