Ctg Customs Excise Officer’s illegal assets, ACC case filed

Md Habibullah Talukder Hiru, Customs Excise and VAT officer of Lalkhan Bazar area of Khulshi in Chattogram, has been in the department for almost three years. During this time he involved in various irregularities. Illegal wealth has also been developed. The Anti -Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against him to acquire illegal wealth against him. On Thursday, the District Office of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Chittagong-1, Fazlul Bari filed the case.
Habibullah Talukder Hiru is the son of the deceased Omar Ali Talukdar of East Gomdandi village in Boalkhali, Chattogram. He is currently residing in Abidar Para of Doublemurring police station in the Port City. His wife also served as Customs Excise and VAT, as sepoy in Chandgaon Division. Habibullah Talukder Hiru joined as MLSS in Customs and VAT Chattogram. He was promoted as a sepoy in 1992 and again promoted in same office as Sub-Inspector in 2012. He was charged with sections of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 20 (1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 20 (1) for acquiring non-knowledgeable assets worth about 37 lakh.
