Priyanka Chopra can’t shoot in any part of the world
Hollywood actors have joined screenwriters to go on a strike in
the first industry-wide shutdown
in the last 63 years. The strike was announced by the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). The union has failed
to reach a new labour agreement with the Alliance of Motion
Picture and Television Producers. Reportedly, because of the strike, actors won’t be able to shoot for their projects. The shooting of Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Heads of State’ has been halted due to the
Screen Actors Guild strike.
A report has stated that Priyanka Chopra’s much-talked-about film, Heads of State, has come under scrutiny because of the strike.
It is being said that the shoot of the movie, also starring Idris Elba and John Cena, might get stalled.
As reported by Bollywood Life, Priyanka, who is a member of
SAG-AFTRA, won’t be able to shoot for any movie or TV project
in any part of the world. This
will go one till a new deal is signed and the strike ends.
It is being said that the strike might continue until the end of September. Reportedly, the strike may stop all production of the film and scripted television shows in the US. However, independent,
productions that are not covered by labour contracts with unions, will continue. Just recently, a video of Priyanka with her co-stars from the London sets of the Ilya Naishuller directorial had
taken over the internet.
The clip showed PC prepping
for a scene with
Idris Elba and John Cena.
The upcoming Amazon Studios film was announced earlier this year. Priyanka had shared a post
on social media to talk about
the project. -Zoom
