Subir Nandi rendered last song to be released

Entertainment Report :
Subir Nandi is the artiste of more timeless songs including ‘Aamar Ei Duti Chokh Pathorto Noy’, ‘Prithibite Prem Bole Kichhu Nei’, ‘Ami Brishtir Kachh Theke Kandte Shikhechhi’, ‘Bondhu Hote Cheye Tomar,’ etc.
He was incomparable in modern songs as well as movie songs. It is
difficult to find a person who listens to Bengali songs, but does not fall in love with his voice.
This noted singer passed away
in 2019 at the age of 65. Subir Nandi’s voice was heard after a long time.
A few months before his death, Subir Nandi gave his voice in a song ‘Moner Ayna’. But the song was unreleased until now. Composer and music director Ahmed Rajib posted a glimpse of it on Facebook yesterday. He wrote on Facebook, “Some creations are just for yourself. My composition and Asif Iqbal Bhai’s words, his last song rendered by legendary artiste Subir Nandir Dada. ‘Eto koreo nijeke kokhono bojhano gelo na, Din boye jai, Mon theke tobu mochha holo na’ – Subir Nandi has become alive again in this song of such words.”
Music director Ahmed Rajib told this correspondent, “Due to various reasons, it was not possible to release the song so far. Now talks are going on about releasing it. It was my only work with Subir Nandi. Asif Iqbal Bhai had the whole plan of ‘Moner Ayna’ song. He has written, produced and sung with Subir Nandi. I had already sent the lyrics to Subir Nandi. He came to the recording after a few days, picking up the song well. During the recording, he repeatedly asked me if the sound was right. An artist of such a large size, but how sincere! The memory of that day is still bright in my mind.”
