471 BNP men sued over Kishoreganj clash, 6 held

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) , Astogram President has filed a case with Astogram Police Station in connection the chase-and-counter-chase incident centering on the procession of upazila BNP in Astogram of Kishoreganj.
In the case, Upazila BNP President Syed Saeed Ahmed has been made the main accused along with 71 named people and 300-400 unnamed people. The case was lodged On Sunday noon.

Other accused in the case include – Upazila BNP general secretary Zakir Hossain Mukul, senior vice-president former UP chairman Ghiyas Uddin, vice-president former UP member Humayun Kabir Dana, vice-president Murshedi Kamal, organising secretary Shaheen Mia, senior joint general Secretary Mizanul Haque Nazrul,

Joint General Secretary Advocate Achadul Haque Atiq, Joint General Secretary Yakub Mia, General Secretary of Upazila Volunteers Dal Zubair Hasan Yamin, Member Secretary of Upazila Chhatra Dal Mostak Miah, BNP leader Akshar Miah who is under treatment due to serious injuries. Apart from this, six people who were arrested by the police from the spot have been made accused in this case.

They are – Jubo Dal Central Co-Human Rights Secretary Mahabub Alam Akhtar, Upazila Awami League Office Secretary GM Mosharraf Uddin Halim, Bangalpara Union BNP No. 1 Joint Convener Alamgir Hossain Alam, Itna Upazila Jubo Dal Leader Real Molla, Youth Dal Leader of the same Upazila Md. Harun Miah and Mithamain Upazila Juba Dal leader. Tofazzal Hossain and sent to Kishoreganj district jail.

BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s advisor, ex- MP Senior Advocate Fazlur Rahman on Monday noon , arranged a press briefing at Kishoreganj ‘s BNP office. He strongly condemned and protested the filing of false and missing cases in connection with the attack on BNP’s mass rally on Saturday afternoon.
He said that they were marching peacefully. At that time, the leaders and activists of BCL, Jubo League attacked the procession with ramdas, hockey sticks, iron.
