CUJ demands severe punishment to killers of journalist Nadeem

The Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ) held a protest against the killing of journalist Gholam Rabbani Nadeem in a terrorist attack in Jamalpur and demanding exemplary punishment for the killers.
From the rally, the journalist leaders demanded the quick arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved in the murder. At the same time, they demanded the dismissal of the Superintendent of Police of Jamalpur and the OC of the concerned police station who failed to provide security to journalist Nadeem’s life.
On Saturday (June 17) at 11:30 am in front of the Chittagong Press Club, journalists from all walks of life took part in the protest rally despite the hostile weather and rain. The former president of Chittagong Press Club, Ali Abbas, general secretary of CIU, addressed the protest rally under the chairmanship of CUJ President Tapan Chakraborty.
