Terrorist was arrested with two indigenous firearms

An armed man from the remote hilly area of Charmbar in Lohagara Upazila of Chattogram.
The police arrested the mountain terrorist. Two country-made single-barreled firearms and three rounds of ammunition were recovered from the arrested.
The arrested Chandra Chakma (38), son of Sunil Chakma of Punarbasan Chakma Para.
Satkania Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Shibli Noman, Lohagara Police Station OC Muhammad Atiqur Rahman, SI Shariful Islam PPM, SI Ruhul Amin and ASI Morshed Alam and Sangeet police force conducted a raid and arrested him at 7:00pm on Monday.
According to the police station, two mountain terrorists were staying with illegal weapons for criminal activities in the teak garden created in the remote hill hill teak garden of Ward No 9 of Charamba Union of the upazila. Two mountain terrorists were positioned on the slopes of the hills below.
Sensing the presence of the police station, they tried to run away.
They surrounded them and fired several rounds at us with the intention of killing them with the weapons in their custody. The area vibrated with the sound of gunshots.
In the situation that arose, on the orders of Additional Superintendent of Police of Satkania Circle, Shibli Noman Sir, two rounds of counter lead cartridges were fired for government property and self-defense. After chasing them, one mountain terrorist was able to arrest Chandra Barua with one country-made single barrel gun in his right hand.
His fellow mountain terrorist Tarun Chakma Ekanla left the gun and managed to escape.
OC Muhammad Atiqur Rahman of Lohagara Police Station said that Chandra Chakma was arrested among the two mountain terrorists. Another mountain terrorist, Tarun Chakma, left his weapons and escaped. In this incident, two separate cases have been filed due to the Arms Act and police attack.
The accused Chandra Chakma has been sent to the Chattogram court.
