Coke Studio Bangla’s
second season song titled ‘Deora’ was released last May 7. The song ‘Haate Lage Byatha Re, Haat Chhaira Dao Sonar Deora Re’ became popular soon after its release. Along with the popularity, the song has set a new record on YouTube. In just two weeks, the song reached Coke Studio Bangla’s highest number of views. The song has already been viewed more than 2.4 million times.
Earlier, the most viewed song in Coke Studio Bengali was Nigar Sultana Sumi and Jalalai Set ‘Bhober Pagol’, which has been viewed more than 2.4 million times.
Not only viewer records, but also on social media and reels, young people are lip-syncing to this song on Tiktok.
The popularity of ‘Deora’ song has reached beyond the country. Many foreigners are making different content with this song. Among them are Tanzania’s popular content creator brothers and sisters – Kiley Paul and Nima Paul. They got popular by creating content with some popular Indian songs. Kiley Paul released a content of them dancing and lip-syncing to the song ‘Deora’ last Thursday from his verified Tiktok account.
After releasing, the content went viral. This ‘Daora’ song has become one of his most viewed contents.
On the boat, the sailors push the seats to the beat of the song ‘Haat Chhere Dao Sonar Deora Re’. This popular ‘Sari’ song has become an integral part of boating. Pritom Hasan and folk singer Islam Uddin Palakar brought this song in a new arrangement last May 7. The song also features Armeen Musa and her choir ‘Ghaashphoring’.
In the song, different genres of folk music like ‘Sari’ song, ‘Jag’ song have been used. The song ‘Sari’ is mainly associated with physical exertion and the song ‘Jag’ is known for its inspirational lyrics. The song ‘Deora’ is written by Fazlu Majhi (Fazlul Haque) and Pritom Hasan, where the emotions of the boatmen are revealed.
