Purnima crosses the silver jubilee of acting success

From the beginning of the history of Bangladeshi movies
till today, Purnima’s name also appears consistently among those whose names are specially mentioned. She is one of the four successful actresses who appeared in Bangladeshi cinema especially in the 90s.
On May 15, 1998, Purnima made her debut as a heroine opposite Riaz in the movie ‘E Jiban Tomar Amar’ directed by Zakir Hossain Raju. Since then, she has acted in 80 commercially successful movies. She came to the top of the discussion with a presentation.
According to Purnima, her first commercially successful movie was ‘Joddha’. Also, her favourite movies include ‘Nayok Raj’ Razzak directed ‘Sontan Jokhon Shotru’, ‘Premer Nam Bedona,’ ‘Sultan,’ ‘Pita Matar Amanot,’ ‘Moner Majhe Tumi’, ‘Shasti’, ‘Suva’,’ ‘Biyer Prostab’, ‘Lobhe Pap Pape Mrittyu,’ ‘Hridoyer Kotha’, ‘Ora Amake Valo Hote Dilona,’ etc.
Purnima acted in a drama opposite Shahiduzzaman Selim under the direction of Rezanur Rahman.
In the movie, she acted opposite Riaz, Manna, Rubel, Ferdous, Amin Khan, Amit Hasan, Shakib Khan and many others and in the drama, opposite several others including Raisul Islam Asad, Afzal Hossain, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Zahid Hasan, Mahfuz Ahmed, Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Apurba, among others, and impressed the audience with her performances.
Purnima has crores of fans in Bangladesh who eagerly wait for her new work. They are waiting for the release of Purnima starrer movies ‘Jam’, ‘Gunchil’ and ‘Ahare Jibon’.
Purnima, speaking about where she stands today and her gratitude after crossing the silver jubilee of her acting career, told this correspondent, “At the beginning, I am grateful to Allah. Also to all the viewers of Bangladesh including the producers, directors, co-artistes, technicians of each of my movies and above all, I express my gratitude to all journalist brothers and sisters. Of course, I will forever be grateful to my mother because she urged me to work and become Purnima today. There were ups and downs in the long 25-year of my acting career. At one point, I was disappointed. But later in the discussion with the presentation, I returned to my previous position. I am truly grateful to my audience. ‘Nayok Raj’ Razzak Uncle made two movies about me. I am indebted to him for the drive he took with me at that time.”
In particular, Purnima was born on July 11 in 1984. She was awarded the National Film Award for his performance in the movie titled ‘Ora Amake Valo Hote Dilona’ directed by Kazi Hayat.
