AFC U-17 Women's Qualifiers: Bangladesh in Group-B

Bangladesh Under-17 Women’s Football team have been billed in Group-B of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-17 Women’s Qualifiers. The other teams of Group-B are: Australia, Philippines and Vietnam.

The draw ceremony of the second round of the AFC Under-17 Women’s Qualifiers was held at Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia on Thursday.

India, South Korea, Thailand and Iran have been placed in Group-A of the second round of the AFC Under-17 Women’s Qualifiers.

Bangladesh Under-17 Women’s Football team emerged the champions of the first round of the AFC Under-17 Women’s Qualifiers, which was held at Singapore.
The top two teams of each group will play in the final round of the AFC Under-17 Tournament.

Earlier, Bangladesh Under-16 Women’s Football team took part in the final round of the two editions of AFC Under-16 Football Tournament.

Head Coach of Bangladesh Women’s Football team Golam Rabbani Choton said, ” We want to play in the final round. We have the ability to do that. All the groups of the AFC Under-17 Qualifiers are almost same if we inspect the strength of the participating teams. The teams, which have qualified this stage, all are strong teams.”
The second round of the AFC Under-17 Qualifiers will be held in September. Though the draw ceremony was held yesterday, the host country of the AFC Under-17 Qualifiers have not yet finalised.
