After being stable for a long time,
the price of spices is increasing in
the wholesale market of Khatunganj before Eid-ul-Azha. In the last two weeks, the prices of almost all types
of spices have increased from Tk50 to Tk200 per kg. Traders say that the
supply of spices has reduced, hence the price is increasing.

Apart from this, the booking rate has also increased in the international market. But consumers say ‘garam masala’ is not commonly used. These spices are used to enhance the taste of cooking in weddings, parties or social events. The amount of spices that traders have in stock, the price should not increase.
