Health test of Hajj pilgrims begins at CMCH

Chattogram Medical College (CMC) Hospital has started the health tests of hajj pilgrims of Chattogram district. On Sunday morning, hajj pilgrims thronged the conference room on the second floor of the main building of the hospital.

CMC Hospital Assistant Director Dr Shahida Akhtar said that until Saturday about 8,500 names of hajj pilgrims have been listed in the hospital for health examination. It will be possible to check the health of 500 to 600 passengers daily. According to hospital sources, health check-ups will be conducted from 8:30am to 2:30pm every day except Fridays and public holidays. Also Hajj pilgrims (where applicable) will be given meningitis and influenza vaccines.

CMC Hospital Deputy Director Dr Angsui Pru Marma said that the hajj agencies who have already submitted the list of 2023 hajj passengers to the hospital office, must collect the prescribed sample form from the hospital office for their health examination and fill in two copies of the form for each passenger and submit it to the hospital office.
