SSC exams begin today: No chance for question paper leak : Dipu Moni

Over 20.72 lakh examinees of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations under nine educational boards are going to sit for this year’s public examination today (Sunday).
The three-hour long examination will start at 10 am and the examinees have to appear at their respective centres 30 minutes before the schedule.
Meanwhile, the education ministry and the concerned departments and all education boards sources said that a comprehensive measures have been taken to hold the public examinations smoothly.
The coaching centres are shuttered now as per the direction of the education ministry while thelaw enforcement agencies and other stakeholders are on high alert to contain any attempt to leak the questions and to spread rumours in this regard.
On the other hand, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said that there was no chance for question paper leak and stern action would be taken against those who will spread romours in this regard.
Addressing an inaugural ceremony of a newly constricted building of South Aicha Principal Nazrul Islam College in Charfashan Upazila under Bhola district, the education minister came up with the statement on Sunday.
According to the Ministry of Education, a total of 20,72,163 examinees will take part in the SSC and equivalent examinations in 3,810 centres. This year the number of examinees has increased by over 50,000, compared with the last year statistics.
The examinees will attend all the papers with full marks and time and the exams will be as per the revised syllabus.
The ministry and concerned departments have set a number of rules for the examinees and others to follow strictly and any lapse of the rules will be considered as a violation and action will be taken accordingly.
If any examinee is found late for attending the test, his or her information and causes of the delay will be registered and this information has to be shared with the concerned board in a written report on the same day, the rules said.
