Eid-ul-Fitr jamaats were held in Khulna, Sylhet and Barishal divisional cities today.
In Khulna, the main Eid jamaat was held at Circuit House ground at 8 am. Maulana Mohammad Saleh, Khatib of Town Jame Mosque, led the congregation.
Eid jamaats were held at Model Mosque adjacent to Khulna Alia Madrasa at 8:30 am and at Khulna Town Jame Mosque at 9 am.
Like every Eid, thousands of Muslims thronged to participate in the main jamaat. Strict security measures were taken at the Eidgah.
After the prayers, a special munajat was offered seeking peace, progress and prosperity of the country, the nation and the Muslim ummah.
In Sylhet, the main Eid jamaat was held at Shahi Eidgah ground at 8:30 am. Maulana Abu Huraira, Imam and Khatib of Bandarbazar Central Jame Mosque, led the prayers.
Prayers were offered seeking peace and prosperity for people of the country.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury, Awami League mayoral candidate Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury, leaders of different political parties, administration officials, businessmen and industrialists and common people from different parts of the city offered prayers at the Shahi Eidgah ground in Sylhet.
In Barishal, Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated with due religious fervour. The main Eid congregation was held at Hemayet Uddin Central Eidgah in the city at 8:30 am.
Political leaders and administration high-ups as well as people from different walks of life attended the jamaat there.
After the jamaat, prayers were made to the Almighty for protection from natural disasters and all epidemics.
