UNB, Cox’s Bazar :
The carcass of a big whale washed ashore on Himchhari beach adjacent to Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf marine drive on Tuesday noon.
On information, officials of the Upazila administration, forest department, department of environment, livestock and fisheries department and police rushed to the spot.
Masum Billah, Magistrate of Cox’s Bazar Tourist Cell, said as the dead whale may spread stench, so they decided to bury it quickly.
Earlier, in April 2021, two dead whales washed ashore in the same area of Cox’s Bazar.
