Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC), Nabua, Camarines Sur, Philippines for a period of five years for the mutual benefit and development of the two institutions and the promotion of international understanding and goodwill.
The MoU was signed between Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shakhawat Hossain, principal, DIIT and Dr. Charlito P. Cadag, President, CSPC on behalf of their respective institutions on Monday, 10 April 2023 at DIIT Campus, Dhanmondi, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
With the signing of the MoU, the two institutions – DIIT, one of the most renowned institute under National University of Bangladesh, and CSPC, a 36 years old technological institution of Philippines with the primordial goal to achieve a culture of excellence – will begin a new journey with the institutionalization of cooperation in different areas like exchanging students, faculty, researchers, joint research activities, joint organizers of international research conferences, exchanging information and publications, other exchanges of academic and cultural nature between the institutions. This collaboration will provide new opportunities for students, researchers, and faculty members from both institutions to enhance their academic and research experiences.
The honorable principal of DIIT has said that this MoU will advance progress towards achieving the SDGs-Sustainable Development Goals, which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership to pursue peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.
According to him, “DIIT is a renowned institution with a strong reputation for academic excellence. Our partnership with CSPC is a testament to our commitment to enhancing the quality of our academic programs and research activities.
We believe that this partnership will provide our students and faculty members with new opportunities for growth and development, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in our respective fields.”
He also added that the digitalization and blended learning technique will enable both institutions to transact knowledge in real-time as well as providing hands-on experience to various advanced technologies available in both institutions to expand the knowledge horizon of their students.
The MoU will also encourage and facilitate inter-university student and faculty visits to enable learning through academic interactions and programs on both offline and online modes.
The collaborative partnership is, thus, expected to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and best practices, promoting academic excellence and internationalization in order to keep pace with the modern age & time and the rapidly changing environments. Furthermore, it will foster an environment of mutual understanding and respect, as well as promote cultural exchange and diversity.
Moreover, as a leading academic institution, DIIT is strongly determined to produce highly qualified and talented graduates gaining sound and up to date technical backgrounds and expertise. Thus, the two established institutions are jointly united to achieve these highly aspired objectives and accomplishments.
