The United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) is one of the largest volunteer hubs of the country that actively works for the development of interpersonal skills of the youth of Bangladesh. UNYSAB aims to build future leaders for fulfilling its mission and vision. After the adoption of Sustainable Development Goals by United Nations as Agenda 2030, UNYSAB has been promoting sustainable development goals through its organisational activities.
UNYSAB believes in empowering the youth populace of the country, since youth are the future leaders of the country and their participation in the development activities can lead us to a better future.
President of United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) Jahidul Islam Tuhin told to The New Nation, “Today’s youth has endless possibilities but they should know how to use their voices and develop their soft skills, and urges government, non- profitable organisations to implement the suggested initiatives.
‘Climate affects nearly every aspect of our lives, from our food sources to our transport infrastructure, from what clothes we wear, to where we go on holiday. It has a huge effect on our livelihoods, our health, and our future’ he said.
UNYSAB will work on climate issues in future, he added.
The United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) keen to develop communication skills through Model UN conferences, exchange programmes and leadership workshops throughout the year.
Recently, UNYSAB has announced its 42-member’s central executive committee for 2023-2024 with MD Jahidul Islam Tuhin as new president, Mohammad Eannobi, Shadman Taher Arnob and Akib Khan as vice president and Mehjabeen Akhter as new Organising Secretary. Ameena Rashid Bania and Nusrat Tayba Mim have been selected for the Research and Development team after several rounds of scrutiny.
