Salma in three new songs, spreading fascination in stage shows
Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Moushumi Akter Salma is one of the amazing young ladies
of this generation in the music industry of Bangladesh. Her voice closes one’s eyes and one can feel that it is Salma’s voice because her voice and singing are quite different from many
of her contemporaries. She is considered to be one of the best especially during her time in folk songs.
Salma’s journey in our music industry as a professional music artiste started with the reality show. From then till now, she loves music in her heart and is always with music. The stage is almost at the end of the season. But even then, Salma is spreading fascination in song after song in one stage show.
Salma’s engagement in stage shows is top among the current generation artistes. There is a distinct demand for her voice and rendering style, and her songs all over the country including Dhaka. For that reason, Salma can’t rest like herself, especially in stage shows. She is constantly busy with stage shows.
Recently, Salma completed stage shows in Gopalganj and Purbachal of Dhaka. Also she has already participated in a magazine programme of Banglavision, which was presented by Tanjika Amin.
Salma is singing new songs regularly. Meanwhile, she gave voice to a new song written and composed by Abdul Awal, music by Ahmed Sajeeb. Therefore, Salma has sung two more songs with lyrics by Delwar Arjuda Sharaf, beautiful tunes and music by Rezwan Sheikh. Among them, one is a single and another is a duet song. Robiul Awal gave voice with her in the duet song.
Meanwhile, Salma’s new song titled ‘Pran Chhute Chai’ has been released on YouTube. Imdad Jewel wrote lyrics of the song while Rezwan Sheikh has composed its music. Ronok Hasan rendered the song with Salma. Salma is getting positive response for the song.
Talking about her stage shows and her new songs, Salma told this correspondent, “It is true that the stage is the most loved and cherished place for a musician. The stage allows a singer to present his/her vocals appropriately. Not only that, the direct recognition he/she gets for his/her songs there boosts his/her confidence. In the meantime I have sung in several shows in Dhaka and outside Dhaka. It is impossible to explain the love that I got from the audience in every show. I want to survive as an artiste with this love from the audience. In the future, I want to present good songs. I have released a new song already. I have completed three more original songs. The lyrics and melody of each of the new songs are simply amazing. I am optimistic about the songs.”
