After the success of projects like ‘Guti’ and ‘Unish 20’, popular OTT platform, Chorki released its latest crime comedy thriller titled ‘Overtrump.’ Directed by Bashar Georgis, the
web series was released
on Thursday, said

The web series casts Chanchal Chowdhury,
Fs Nayeem, Ashna Habib Bhabna and Samira
Khan Mahi in pivotal roles.
The web series will feature Chanchal Chowdhury in
a very different avatar.
While taking in this web series, Chanchal Chowdhury said, “Such incidents those are to be showcased in the series, which occur frequently in our society, especially
in the urban life. As much as there is a dark side to this story, there are also some lessons. There will be a surprise in my character in this web series, that’s all I want to say for now. Let the rest be a
surprise for the audience.”
The series depicts ‘Fotka Salim’ as he falls into dire straits after abducting
a common businessman named Miraj. With time, everything gets confusing, and it gets hard to tell
who wins and who loses as it turns into a game.
The series also marks Samira Khan Mahi’s OTT debut. For that, the actress
is really excited. She is seen playing the role of ‘Roma.’ While sharing her feelings about acting in this series, Samira Khan Mahi said, “My character ‘Roma’ is completely different from the roles
I have played previously.
I always want to give my best at everything. I was
very worried about how
to play the character of ‘Roma.’ I tried my level best, and for the rest, I will leave it to the audience.”
Director Bashar Georgis shared his feelings by this way: “I was worried about selecting the team. I got very lucky when Khosru agreed to work with me immediately after I asked him. That’s how I found one of the best DOPs working with me
for OTT for the first time. Ranjanda also agreed to design the production with me. Working with the actors in the series was extremely frustrating as they all were
so serious that I even sometimes got nervous
during giving direction.”
