Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) authority has locked up the gate before the start
of the programme of siege of the Taxpayer Protection Parishad demanding withdrawal of increased holding tax.
On Wednesday, the CCC authorities locked the gate of the city building. As a result, no one could enter the city building until 10:30am. The CCC officials and employees were in trouble. It is known that the gate of the city building was locked at 9:30am. As a result, no official could enter the city building. The employees took stand in front of the temporary office of Tigerpass City Corporation.
The gate was opened around 10:30am when the media personnel arrived there after getting the news.
When asked about this, CCC CEO Touhidul Islam told the media that it has nothing to do with the movement. Locks have been imposed to show the strict stance of the authorities so that CCC officials and employees come to the office on time.
