While talking about to get the award, Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya said, “Receiving the Lifetime Achievement award for an artiste is undoubtedly a very nice feeling. I am deeply grateful to them who are associated with this programme, especially those who have blessed me with a lifetime honour. I am overwhelmed by their love and respect for my singing and for the song. I hope to see all at the event. Till then everyone stays well and stay healthy.”

The singer has won numerous awards including country’s highest civilian award, the Independence Day Award in 2016.
