The work of the Birds Park will start next month on the reclaimed land in Jungle Salimpur.
The park that will be there is like a night safari park. Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman visited the recovered land in Jungle Salimpur on Sunday. He announced this at that time.
Sitakunda Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Ashraful Alam told the media that the Deputy Commissioner visited the forest Salimpur for the first time after joining.
According to the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner, keeping the mountain environment and surroundings intact, the work of Birds Park will be started next month on the pattern of Night Safari Park.
Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman said that the government has a big plan for the Salimpur forest. Various government departments are seeking space here. “Our plan is to build a safari park, playground, birds park, etc. The landless and homeless people who are here will be rehabilitated through shelter following proper rules.” According to the Deputy Commissioner, strict legal action will be taken against those who attempt illegal hill cutting, encroachment of government land, terrorist activities and drug trade.
Chattogram District Police Superintendent SM Shafiullah, Chittagong District Administration Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Masud Kamal, Additional District Magistrate Rakib Hasan, UNO Md Shahadat Hossain were also present.
