An international symposium on ‘Healthy Mangroves and Sustainable Fisheries for Climate Resilient Coastal Community in South Asia’ has begun on the premises of Khulna University (KU) on Wednesday.
Fisheries and Marine Resource Technology (FMRT) Discipline of the KU, Global Nature Fund and Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) are jointly organizing the event.
KU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mahmud Hossain inaugurated the symposium as the chief guest.
Researchers and specialists from 15 countries participated in the symposium while professor Norman C Duke, James Cook University of Australia, presented the keynote paper.
