Sabbir and Rupa in duet song ‘Amra Dujon Pakhir Kujon’

As a singer, Sabbir Zaman is very popular to all. Even outside the stage show
season, he is busy in the stage shows in the country and abroad. Sabbir Zaman is quite fond of singer Afroza Rupa, the new songbird in the world of music, since she learned to understand music. But coming to the world of music, Rupa would become a duet with Sabbir Zaman so quickly; this was not in her mind.
A few days ago, the song titled ‘Emon Bhalobasbo Tomay’ written by Lutfor Hasan and composed by Shaan was released. Her sweet melodious voice
has been appreciated in this song.
Fascinated in classical music, Afroza Rupa is hailed from Shaldigha village at Jaria union of Purbadhala upazila of Netrokona district. Her mother Zohra Parvin is the teacher of Shaldigha Primary School. Rupa got primary lessons in music from her mother.
Later, she trained in music at the Media Cultural Academy of her village Atindra Chandra Roy and Zulfiqar Ali Shahin. Now she is receiving training in classical music from Dr Ali FM Rezwan.
This Rupa and Sabbir Zaman’s first duet original song titled ‘Amra Dujon Pakhir Kujon’ is soon to be released on Dhruba Music Station. Lutfor Hasan wrote lyrics of the song while Shan Sayek has composed its music. Rafat has made music video of the song.
While talking about rendering style of Afroza Rupa, singer Sabbir Zaman told this correspondent, “Rupa is such an amazing singer; I have become a fan after listening to her voice. She will go a long way in our music scene. My first duet song with her is ‘Amra Dujon Pakhir Kujon.’ Just as the lyrics are mesmerising, Shaan’s vocals are impeccable. I am very optimistic about this song.”
Singer Afroza Rupa said, “The song titled ‘Emon Bhalobasbo Tomay’ written by Lutfor Bhai took me to a different position as an artiste. This is absolutely true. That is why I am grateful to Lutfar Bhai. I have been watching Sabbir Bhai’s song from the time of ‘Close up 1.’ Later, I heard and enjoyed his music in live shows at various times. It is a real pleasure for me to sing a duet with him – a very good song, a new experience to me. I, we all are very optimistic about this song.”
