Mim in Kolkata for ‘Manush’ after returning from Dubai

Bidya Sinha Mim, the heroine
of Bangladesh’s films at that time, became the best actress of the year last year. She was adjudged the ‘Actress of the Year of 2022’ for her impeccable performance in the Raihan Rafi-directed movie ‘Poran.’ Mim went to Dubai with her husband and parents before the New Year to celebrate the English New Year. After celebrating the New Year from there, she returned home on January 8. After returning home, she has already left for Kolkata after resting for a few days. There, since yesterday, the actress has started work on Sanjay Somaddar’s movie titled ‘Manush’ opposite Jeet. It will continue till January 23.
Mim informed that she will have to go to Kolkata for the shooting of this movie next February. Mim is playing the role of Mondira in the movie.
While talking about acting in a new movie, Bidya Sinha Mim told this correspondent, “Earlier, I acted in the movie ‘Sultan’ with Jeet Da. After a break of several years, I am again working with him in a new movie. The story of the movie and my character are all in one word great. I feel very happy acting in the movie ‘Manush.’ Here the whole unit is very cooperative. My mother is with me. That’s why I can do the work safely with attention. Honestly, I have no end of gratitude towards my mother. Since then, I am eternally grateful to my mother for guiding me to where I am today. Mother’s debt cannot be repaid. And in my case it is not possible. I just want everyone to pray for me, may God keep my mother and father healthy and well.”
Last year, besides ‘Poran,’ Mim starrer and Raihan Rafi directed movie ‘Damal’ was also released.
Meanwhile, Mim is also working as UNICEF’s Goodwill Ambassador. Mim first acted in Humayun Ahmed’s movie ‘Aamar Achhe Jol.’ She got the National Film Award for the first time for acting in Khalid Mahmood Mithu directed ‘Jonakir Alo.’
Mim completed honours and master’s from Southeast University.
