Modhumita Cinema Hall reopens with movie ‘Black War’

Modhumita Cinema Hall in the capital was reopened with the screening of Arifin Shuvoo
starrer movie ‘Black War’ after nearly a two-month closure. ‘Black War’ is the much-anticipated sequel of the police action-thriller ‘Mission Extreme.’ The movie was released on January 13. While talking about reasons for the closure for two months of the cinema hall, Iftekhar Uddin Naushad, proprietor of Modhumita Cinema Hall, said that the audience went into a frenzy centring the football World Cup. Besides, newly released movies weren’t doing well. “Renovations were carried out to the hall during the closure,” he also said.
Earlier on, the cinema hall was closed-off for two months due to the World Cup Football 2022. Movie screening in Modhumita hall was earlier temporarily suspended from November 18.
Modhumita Cinema Hall was established in 1967. This historic hall can hold a total of 1,200 viewers at a time during the screening of a movie. The single screen theatre has a seating capacity of 1,200 people.
