Fahmida Nabi in three channels on her birthday with two original songs

Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Fahmida Nabi is such a National Film Award winning singer who has separate fans of her music in and outside the country. Her father late Mahmudunnabi was such a noted singer in the country by whom Bengali songs became enriched due to practice of pure music. Fahmida Nabi’s younger sister Samina Chowdhury is also a popular singer.
Fahmida Nabi told this correspondent that at the end of last year and in the beginning of New Year, her two original songs were released. Title of one song is ‘Aporanhe,’ which lyrics were written by Rebeca Zaman Polin, while Durba Chowdhury, mother of Prithwi Raj and Ritu Raj, has composed music of the song. On the other hand, in the beginning of this year, a duet song rendered by Fahmida Nabi and Tahsan was also released. Title of the song is ‘Kono Mane Nei.’ Lyrics of the song were written by late journalist-lyricist Omar Faruk Bishal, while Zia Khan has composed its music. Including these two newly released songs, Fahmida Nabi will be present with some other songs today and tomorrow in three TV channels.
Today is the birthday of Fahmida Nabi. On the occasion of her birthday, the singer will be present at Channel i’s ‘Taroka Kothon’ at 12:30pm today. Therefore, at tonight, she will be also present at Banglavision’s live musical programme at 11:25pm. Therefore, on January 5, the singer will also perform in another live musical programme on ATN Bangla at 11:15pm.
Fahmida Nabi told this correspondent that current year on her own channel, some other new original songs will be released.
While talking about her birthday, planning of New Year and own music-oriented life, Fahmida Nabi said, “I and my siblings always step forward to keep in our minds and also to hold ideology and sense of life of our father late Mahmudunnabi. We don’t want much in our lives. We have been attached with music purely, healthy and beautifully like our father loved songs in his full life. Many people of today say about the view of the song but I say listeners of the song. Music is not about watching but it is always about listening. I have a good intention to render good songs because after my death they can show their keen interests to listen my rendered songs. In fact, my siblings also have same kind of intention. Many persons can become singers. But few numbers become an artiste. If anybody wants to be a true artiste, he/she must be polite and also have absolute love for the music. I just did a stage show, earned money, that’s not how you can become an artiste. I believe a life consistent with respect and honour is the full life of a true artiste.”
