Momtaz renders song for metro rail

The country ushered into a new era
of commuting with its first ever
electricity-powered metro rail of Dhaka. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally inaugurated the country’s first metro rail by unveiling a plaque at the playground
of Uttara Sector No 15 on December 28. Popular folk singer and the Member of the Parliament Momtaz Begum lent her voice for a song on the occasion of commemorating the metro rail.
The lyrics of the song focus to the
greatness of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s grand vision for the country and how the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina envisioned the future for Bangladesh. The song was composed
by Kishore Das.
While talking about rendering the song, Momtaz told media, “Metro rail will run in the heart of Bangladesh. I am thrilled about this new adventure. I am happy
that I am going to be part of this historic moment, by singing the theme song of metro rail. I have dedicated this song to vouching for the greatness of metro rail, and how it has brought us one step
closer to development. I am confident that the audience will love it.”
