Runa Laila pays tribute to Gazi Mazharul Anwar in her new patriotic song

After a long time, legendary singer of the subcontinent, Runa Laila is going to present a new patriotic song for her fans and music-lovers. Title of the song is: ‘Jodi Proshno Koro.’ Before death, noted lyricist Gazi Mazharul Anwar wrote lyrics of the song. Shafiq Tuhin has
composed tune, while Foad Nasser
Babu has arranged its music. This
song will go on air from Victory Day
on GaanBangla channel.
Recording of the song was done at Foad Nasser Babu’s studio in the
capital’s Banasree area but schedule date for shooting of the music video of the song was changed several times because before Victory Day, permission for shooting of the music video didn’t get. At last, on December 13, with the presence of Runa Laila, shooting of the music video of the song was done under direction of Taneem Rahman Angshu.
While sharing her feelings to talk about this patriotic song, Runa Laila told this correspondent, “In fact, by this song paying tribute to respected lyricist Gazi Mazharul Anwar. Earlier, I rendered Gazi Mazharul Anwar written many songs. Many singers also rendered song, which lyrics were also written by Gazi Mazharul Anwar, under my music composition. Tune and music composition
of my new song are really nice and
mind-blowing. I think it is a listeners’ choice song.”
It was Taneem Rahman Angshu’s first work with Runa Laila. For this reason, Angshu was excited. He shared his feelings by this way: “Runa Madam took part in the music video of her song under my direction – it is a great luck
for me. She is a pride of our country. Working with her is really a lucky
matter.” Musician Foad Nasser Babu said, “It was really a great luck for me that respected Runa Laila Apa came
to my studio and lent her voice under my musical arrangement.”
Music composer Shafiq Tuhin shared his feelings by this way, “It is a great luck for me that I got the scope to compose a song for Runa Laila apa which lyrics was composed by respected Gazi Sir. I believe this song will become
a milestone for me in my career.”
