Shabnam Priyanka wants to survive with good songs

Melodious voice of Shabnam Priyanka has already won minds of music-lovers. She took part in Channel i organised ‘Khudey Gaanraj’ and ‘Sherakonto’ in
2011 and 2013 respectively. She was in top 20 in ‘Khudey Gaanraj’ and was in top 25 in ‘Sherakontho.’ Though she couldn’t step forward in those contests but Priyanka didn’t stop learning music from her father Yakub Hossain Babla. After getting primary lessons in music from her father, Priyanka then received training from Milton Khondokar.
Now she is at the last stage of learning Nazrul Sangeet at Chhayanaut, which is
a five-year long course.
Student of honours final year of Economics at Jahangirnagar University, Shabnam Priyanka’s solo debut album titled ‘Nimontron’ was released in 2016. In 2018, Priyanka rendered her most hit song titled ‘Ek Prithibi Bhalobasa,’ which lyrics were written by Jahar Kobir and tune was composed by Ovi Akash, was released under the banner of Laser Vision. Then her father’s composition a song titled ‘Tomar Ichchhegulo’ was released under the banner of Sangeeta.
Shabnam Priyanka informed that her three new songs are going to be released soon. With Rajib a song titled ‘Roj Roj Tar Ghoraghuri,’ which lyrics were written by Fahmida Risana and music was composed by Yakub Hossain Babla, will be released. Therefore, Seson-3, a forum of Urbashi Song, and from Rain Music, two other songs will also be released. Five years ago, in voice of Priyanka and her father, a song was released. Title of the song was ‘Putul Khela,’ which lyrics and music were composed by Anupam Biswas. This song became very emotional among the listeners.
Shabnam Priyanka said that when she was a student of Class-III, she started her career as a singer. In 2006, she first got Tk18,000 as her honorium for rendering song. In her academic career, her mother played pivotal role, while father played role in the field of music. While talking about her dream about music, Priyanka told this correspondent, “In music, respected Sabina Yasmin Madam is my inspiration. I want to survive with good songs. In fact, I want to render songs like Sabina Madam rendered.”
