Mahreen performs in ‘Made in Bangladesh Week’

Country’s one of the popular pop singers, Mehreen Mahmud performed
in the ‘Made in Bangladesh Week 2022,’ which began on November 12
and will end on November 18, orgnaised by the Bangladesh’s apex body of apparel manufacturers, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA). The theme song of the event was rendered by pop singer Mehreen and she was already applauded for her performance. The tune and composition of the song was done by Sharadindu Das Moon and its lyrics were jointly written by Moon and Mehreen.
In her reaction, Mehreen said that she rendered the song with a lot of passion and is hugely happy to be a part of BGMEA activities as RMG sector has brought so much glory to the country.
The video was made in factories of Adamjee EPZ, Sonia, Urmy, Fotulllah Apparels, Giant Group, Remy and Tarasima. The video shows the huge work force for RMG factory amongst workers and Mehreen is seen singing with happiness and pride. Use of technology, robots, various types of modern stitching machines, childcare, shop inside factory for workers, hand wash before work and pure drinking water have been projected in the song. Harmony of work atmosphere and togetherness is shown as the essence of this huge industry. Common workers working with top management in proper blend is shown.
The pride that ‘Made in Bangladesh’ tag projects when a garment is purchased is where the songs stem from. There is term called ‘Green Factory.’ This is highlighted in the video and song, so that the other factories can catch up to the expected level of green facilities like waste management, greenery, adjacent clean water body etc.
