A group of students of Scholastica and other English medium educational institutions under the banner of Footsteps Foundation on Saturday collected winter clothes from Gulshan and Banani area of the city in aide of the cold-hit people of the country.
” On Saturday we got lot of response from the student volunteers as well as city dwellers from Gulshan and Banani area to help the poorest of the poor people of the country. Last year also we received this kind of positive response at our call for support the cold-hits,” said Shah Meem Rafayat Chowdhury told BSS .
Last year Footsteps distributed warm clothes among cold-hit poor people in Dhaka, Lalmonirhat, Kurigram, Gaibandha and Rangpur.
