7 robbers held with firearms in Narayanganj

At least 15 persons, including the seven members of a robber gang, have been arrested by the members of law enforcements along with firearms while preparing for robbery in Fatulla area of Narayanganj on Thursday (Nov 3).
Seven members of the robber gang were identified as Kamal Hossain, 55, Rakib, 19, Sabbir, 21, Shakeel, 24, Haroon, 36 and Faisal, 19, and Shomrat, 25.
According to the police, around 3 am at dawn on Thursday, they were arrested while preparing for robbery.
In another special drive, police also arrested Hasan Ali, 29, Shah Alam, 31, Rubel Sheikh, Rakib Hossain, 26, Pannu Hasan, 30, Al Amin, 25, Rafiqul Islam, 24, and Monir Hossain, (who is convicted in various cases), said Narayanganj’s Additional Superinten-dent of Police Nazmul Hasan.
However, around 7/8 unidentified persons also escaped after realizing the presence of the police, he said.
Narayanganj’s Addi-tional Superintendent of Police Nazmul Hasan disclosed this information in a press conference organized at Fatulla Police Station in Narayanganj on Thursday.
