Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Popular film actress and former Lux superstar, Bidya Sinha
Mim appeared on the big screen yet again with her new
movie titled ‘Damal’ recently. After ‘Poran,’ ‘Damal,’ directed
by Raihan Rafi, which story was based on the story of the Swadhin Bangla Football Team. Written by noted cultural
personality Faridur Reza Sagar, ‘Damal’ is showcasing an ensemble cast of acclaimed artistes including Siam Ahmed, Shariful Razz, Intekhab Dinar and Shahnaz Sumi, alongside
the female lead character Bidya Sinha Mim. While talking about the movie, ‘Damal,’ Mim said that she was excited about her newly released movie and also shared her journey with ‘Damal’ team. She expressed her feelings by this way, “My newly released movie ‘Damal’ portrays the story of a football team during the Liberation War of Bangladesh and I appeared as a simple yet glitzy village girl named Hasna. In fact,
the experience was challenging like my every other movie
and the viewers’ feedback will be the one to demonstrate whether my efforts were praiseworthy or not.”
While talking about her previous movie Poran’s overwhelming response, Mim said that she thinks the movie has brought her closer to the audience. She said, “The unbelievable amount of praise I received for ‘Poran’ from our beloved viewers. They inspired me and increased my courage. The experiences
of houseful shows and ‘sold-out’ responses were totally new experiences for me for that movie. People even called me for the tickets of both ‘Poran’ and now for ‘Damal’ and these are really noteworthy for me as an actress and I am requesting the audience to buy tickets in advance as tickets may run out this time as well.” About ‘Damal,’ Mim informed that this movie will continue proving the fact that the current filmmakers are thinking differently and bringing a refreshingly new era to the country’s film industry. Produced by Impress Telefilms, ‘Damal’
is being be showcased on single screens and multiplexes across the country. All 5 branches of Star Cineplex
in the capital are scheduled to run shows .
