Rumana will never return to acting

Once country’s popular model, actress of the small screen and film actress Rumana will never return
to acting. Now residing permanently in USA, she
is mother of two children named Avanka and Arban. Rumana informed this recently to this correspondent from USA over social media.
While talking in this regard, Rumana told this correspondent, “In fact, now I am residing in USA permanently. I am mother of a daughter and a son. My daughter Avanka has already started to go to school. She is going to school regularly. And my son Arban is too little now. I have to give more time to him right now. I have also to look after my daughter going to school and come back to home, also maintain other taking care of her and various activities of my family. Therefore, there is also responsibility of my younger son. Overall, I have to concentrate many issues of my life now, so it is really tough to think about acting besides these things. As a question is raised that am I return to acting again. I can humbly say that ‘I will never return to acting.’ In fact, I am passing really happy times with my husband, two children and various activities of my family now. I want to remain good and pass my present days by this way. I also want to pass my future days with these. Everybody prays for me as I can build up my two children like good human beings in future.”
It is noted that Ruman got the National Film Award for acting in Jakir Hossain Raju directed ‘Bhalobaslei Ghor Bandha Jaina.’ ‘Edesh Tomar Aamar’ was her acted last released movie in Bangladesh.
Rumana for the third time got married with Elin Rahman on August 7 in 2015. Earlier, she married Anzam Masud and Sazzad. In 2014, she acted opposite Apurba in Rahmatullah Tuhin directorial drama titled ‘Joto Dure Jabe Bondhu.’
In the silver screen, Rumana debuted her career with Tauquir Ahmed directed movie ‘Joyjatra.’ Then she took a break from acting in the silver screen. Later, in 2008, she returned to acting through PA Kajol directed movie titled ‘Ek Takar Bou.’
Then she also acted in movies ‘Biye Bari,’ ‘Swami Strir Wada,’ ‘Chirodin e Tumi Je Aamar,’ ‘Maa Aamar Chokher Moni,’ ‘Rickshawalar Chhele,’ ‘Preme Porechhi,’ and many others.
