Pori Moni starrer movie ‘Maa’ gets uncut censor clearance

Liberation War-based movie titled ‘Maa,’ starring Dhallywood’s popular actress Pori Moni, received an uncut clearance from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board (BFCB) on Thursday, according to recent media reports.
The movie, directed by Aranya Anwar, revolves around a mother (Pori) and his seven-month-old child who was announced dead during the war. Director Aranya Anwar said, “On Thursday evening, Aruna Biswas, one of the members of the Censor Board praised the movie. She also told me that the board members have unanimously decided to give an uncut clearance to the movie.”
After hearing the news, the lead cast of the movie, Pori Moni told the press, “I am very happy that the movie got uncut clearance from the Censor Board. The journey of this movie will be a lifelong memory for me. When I shot for ‘Maa,’ Rajya (Pori Moni’s son) was four months old in my womb. And when it will be released, he will be in my arms. The happiness I am feeling cannot be explained in words.”
Daily soap Nurul Huda famed Aranya Anwar claims that he did his best for his debut movie ‘Maa.’ The movie is scheduled to hit Bangladeshi theatres at the end of this year.
Apart from Pori Moni, the movie also stars Azad Abul Kalam, Farzana Chhobi, Saju Khadem, Robena Karim Jui, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, Setu, Labanya, Shahadat Hossain in pivotal roles.
