Aliur Rahman obtains PhD

The 30th Syndicate meeting of Dhaka University has convened PhD degree to Md. Aliur Rahman for his theses- “Journalists’ Access to Information: Pre and Post Situation Analysis of the Right to Information Act”. He obtained the degree from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of the university under the supervision of Professor Dr. Shakhawat Ali Khan.
Dr. Aliur Rahman was born at Jamuna Village under Morelgonj Upazila in Bagerhat District on 15th December 1971. He completed BA (Hons) in 1991 and Masters in 1994 from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Dhaka University. Earlier, he obtained Mphil degree in 1999. Rahman is a fellow of International Institute for Journalism (HJ), Germany. Dr. Rahman was a Senior Instructor of Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB). He worked as reviewer and Trainer at the Daily Prothom Alo.
