With a vibrant and monumental celebration, the Coca-cola-Channel i Band Fest 2014 was held on the premises of Channel i office in the city’s Tejgaon area recently.
Twenty bands, old and new, performed at the event, including Uchcharon, Different Touch, Obscure, Prometheus, Ark, Bay of Bengal, Teerondaz, Chirkut, Dolchhut, Black, Artcell, LRB, Shunno, Radio Active, Parthibo and Jol-er Gaan.
Before the day-long concert commenced, a one-minute silence was observed in memory of recently passed noted artist Qayyum Chowdhury.
The late band musicians of the country were commemorated as well.
The show started with a new song on Azam Khan, written and performed by Ayub Bachchu.
Speaking during the inauguration, Faridur Reza Sagar, Managing Director of Channel i, said, “This event will continue its journey every year on December 1 at the same venue.”
