The theme of World Hepatitis Day for the year 2022 is ‘Hepatitis, Can’t Wait’ which aims to highlight the need to accelerate the fight against viral hepatitis and the importance of testing and treatment for the people who need it.
Like every year, United Hospitals observed World Hepatitis Day this year in a befitting manner by conducting Free Health Check-up in a health check booth in the hospital lobby. More than 500 patients and their family members availed free checkups throughout the day, said a press release.
Dr. Mahbub Uddin Ahmed, Director of Medical Services of United Healthcare Services Limited (UHSL) inaugurated the health check booth at the hospital lobby in presence of Prof. Dr. A Q M Mohsen, Interventional gastroenterologist and hepatologist, Director of United Gastroliver Centre and Dr. Mohammed Mahbub Alam, Senior Consultant, Gastroenterology & Hepatology Department & also the presence of the hospital doctors, nurses and higher officials. In this program, speakers highlighted several aspects aimed at public awareness about Hepatitis Day. They also emphasized the advanced Technology of the United Gastroliver Centre and the state-of-the-art capsule endoscopy & hepatitis package of United Hospitals. On the occasion, United Hospital also arranged a day-long Hepatitis Screening and Vaccination event at the United Group head office.
United Hospital, a United Healthcare brand, is conducting a week-long social awareness program under on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day. In addition, gastroenterologists and hepatologists of United Hospitals will be attending seminars, free health checkup camps, Hepatitis awareness activities at various clubs, corporate houses and will also be present on various television talk shows.
