Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Swani Zubayeer is a National Film Award winning noted singer and music composer. He is such a noted singer by whom there is an affection of his music to the legendary singer of the subcontinent Runa Laila. After a break of four years, Swani is coming to perform at a solo musical show today (Friday). He will perform at the National Art Gallery auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital’s Segunbagicha area from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The singer himself confirmed the matter yesterday.
While talking in this regard, Swani Zubayeer said, “In fact, we became really sick staying home due to corona pandemic. During pandemic, I rendered songs in television and Facebook channels. But by this way a singer’s thirst cannot be fulfilled. A singer always loves to render song in front of the audiences and also feels comfortable to perform by this way. A singer enjoys the direct contact with the audience through performing in the live musical show. Basically singer enjoys this thing. From that point of view, I am going to perform today at my solo musical soiree. I believe everybody will come to Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy today to listen my songs. Besides performing songs of Kasur-Patiala gharana, I will also render Ghazals in the musical show. Therefore, I will also render songs keeping requests from the audiences. I want to share my musical life stories with the audience and also want to gossip regarding performing songs. I will also present songs those are my favourite numbers.”
Swani Zuabyeer also said that this musical soiree has been arranged by Kawsar Mahmud and Sadhona Mohol. With their initiatives this programme has become possible to arrange. Ticket prices are Tk250 and for couple Tk400.
